How to Adjust the Desktop Icons on HP Laptop?

  • Also, you can make a right-click on an open area of the desktop, click New and then select Shortcut. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a shortcut of the app.

Creating a new folder

  • Right-click on the empty space, click New and then select Folder.
  • A new folder will be created, rename the folder according to your wish. Hit Enter key

Renaming a desktop symbol

  • Make a right-click on the app’s icon and then select Rename.
  • Type the name and hit Enter key.
  • Or you can double click on the folder after an interval of 2 sec and then rename the folder. Press Enter key.

Adjusting the size of desktop icons

  • Press the right button of the mouse on the empty space and then select View.
  • Click on Large, Medium or Small Icons.
  • You can also press and hold the CTRL key and then use the scroll button to adjust their size. 
  • Scrolling forward will make increase the size and scrolling backward will decrease the size.
